FM in motion
Over the years, several definitions of Facility Management have been formulated. Some of these can be seen on the FMN website. Of central importance in the modern definitions are integral management and the added value that supporting services must deliver to the primary process. NPQ FM Solutions offers solutions that help achieve this added value and provide insight into it.
Dynamic
The field of Facility Management is constantly subject to change. An FMIS will only continue to provide added value if it anticipates, and develops along with, these changes. The fact that NPQ has already been active in the Facility Information System market for 20 years proves just how much attention is paid to it.
NPQ adopts the following vision in the development of its solutions:
Work processes can be carried out more efficiently if attention is paid to the layout of the environment being built. By acquiring better insight into this, companies and organisations will be able to improve the quality of their services or production.
Trends are developing such as a more extensive use of outsourcing, e.g. main contracting, a wider provision of services (total service suppliers) and forms of contract which cover the total lifecycle of a building (PPP). These trends further emphasise the importance of good management of a built environment and the people working within it.
NPQ foresees an even greater focus on cost management and efficiency in the future. Furthermore, the mobility of staff members in the work process will become more important; it will be possible to contact anyone both at any time and at any place. And finally, compelled by necessity, interest in sustainable operations will only increase. In short, efficiency, mobility and sustainability will top the list of demands with regard to doing business in future.
